Sponsored Cycle/Walk Of Border Cricket Clubs
As all who knew Rowan will know, he had a strong passion for cricket, and at the tender age of 9 had played many games for Gala's Under 11 and Under 13 teams against most of the Border Cricket Towns. As a tribute to this a few family friends have decided to do a sponsored cycle will take place on Saturday 11th September 2010. A few other friends have opted to walk the route over 7 stages. The final stage will take place on Saturday 11th September 2010, when it is hoped they will meet up with the cyclists and arrive back at Gala Cricket Club en-masse. It is estimated that a combined total of 200 miles will be travelled by the cyclists and walkers.
£4100 raised form the sponsored cycle/walk.
Roughly £2750 raised from the bands.
